Kevin Davies

Kevin Davies is a contemporary wildlife artist working in coloured pencils on cartridge paper. As a teenager Kevin spent many hours roaming the Staffordshire Moorlands observing and illustrating birds and animal, fascinated by the variety of colours depicted in nature. He studied Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography at Stafford College of Art where he gained a City & Guilds. His creative style depicts an image which is exaggerated by softened coloured pencil strokes. There are elements of detail combined with contrasting blending techniques. Kevin now lives in Dartmouth, Devon where he is inspired by the variety of wildlife on the River Dart and its many rugged coastal paths. Since retiring, Kevin has returned to illustrating wildlife and continues to expand his portfolio.
