Nicky Litchfield is an established professional artist, producing contemporary animal art, mainly in pastel. Nicky has her own gallery in a beautiful little courtyard in the town of Clitheroe. 

Since winning the Society for All Artists, Artist of the Year (animal category) in 2008, Nicky Litchfield’s work has continued to grow in popularity and acclaim and her limited editions are much collected. Featuring livestock, UK woodland, and domestic animals, Nicky’s work conveys the character and charm of its subject through lively lines and colour.

As a child Nicky spent her weekends and summers at her grandparents’ farm, and it was there that her love of animals began, an affection that is clear to see in her artwork, as she expertly depicts the personality and movement of her subjects.

When not out-and-about sketching with her companion, Max the dog, by her side, Nicky spends her days painting at her studio.
