Jeanette is a contemporary landscape artist who frequently works in acrylic on canvas. Jeanette lives in Torbay and was born and raised in Brixham, South Devon. Her paintings portray the coastal landscape of Devon and Cornwall.
Largely self-taught, art has always been an important part of Jeanette’s life. Jeanette began drawing at a young age and would spend hours sketching and painting Brixham’s beautiful fishing vessels and yachts.
Jeanette’s work is admired for its fabulous composition, technical skill and meticulous attention to detail. Jeanette’s limited edition pieces are widely collected. Jeanette’s process involves careful study of the natural world, and she finds much of her inspiration and information whilst out walking. The selection of the right perspective on the landscape, followed by a period of careful observation (including the collection of a vast library of reference photos) precedes the sketching and painting process.
