Cath Siswick

Contemporary artist Cath Siswick works in oils to combine elements
of realism with a painterly style.
With paintings displayed at the Saatchi Gallery, as part of The
Ruth Borchard collection, and more recently featured by Painters
Online, Cath works from her base in Torbay, Devon.
When not at the easel Cath can be found exploring the landscapes that have played such a big role in forming her both personally and as a painter and spreading her passion for creativity through workshops and classes.
“I drove the same route to work every day for 5 years before noticing a white horse engraved into a hillside. The horse was not in my direct view but it was an interesting detail of my world that I had failed to observe for so long.
So many of us rush through life barely noticing the things around us but through my art I am able to stop, look and really appreciate the beauty, vibrancy and diversity of the world in which I exist.
Finding inspiration in a variety of subject matter, I paint, draw and print people, places and the intriguing objects that I stumble upon. Whatever I am studying I like to create work that is full of life and celebrates the detail that so often gets overlooked.”
