Giles Ward

Giles Ward is a leading artist, based in the Wye Valley, whose subjects include sea life and the natural world.

Originally from Yorkshire, Giles studied fine art at Sheffield, before moving to Exeter to study Illustration and Design. Gile’s work is exhibited in galleries throughout the UK and overseas.

Aiming to portray detail in the natural world, experimentation is at the heart of Giles’ painting with a view of communicating a closer sense of his subject. Therefore despite working predominantly in oils,  Giles also freely uses mixed media ( including acrylics, inks, spray paint and varnishes) on his canvases.
